Cattle drenches made from Ivermectin, such as Ivermec Pour-On for Cattl,e are considered a good option for controlling internal and external parasites in Australia because they provide broad-spectrum efficacy against a wide range of internal parasites like gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, and eyeworms, as well as external parasites such as sucking and biting lice, mange mites, buffalo flies, and cattle ticks.
Ivermectin works by selectively targeting invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death of the parasites. Its long intrinsic half-life offers residual protection against reinfestation, making it effective for ongoing parasite control. Additionally, ivermectin-based pour-on formulations are convenient to apply and are suitable for use in both beef and dairy cattle, including lactating cows.
Why choose Ivermec Pour-On for Cattle?
- Broad spectrum of activity against multiple parasite species
- Economical and effective control of both internal and external parasites
- Residual protection that reduces reinfestation risks
- Convenient topical application for ease of use
- Safety in lactating dairy cattle with zero milk withholding period.
- Broad safety margin.
